"They called us nothing. Nothing has always been where we hide."
For two thousand years, the Etherean people have not existed.
They were erased from the historical record, scattered into the bloodlines of the four elemental orders, and classified as Null—a designation that meant defective, lesser, less than the minimum threshold for recognition. The Accord built a continent on top of their absence. The absence held.
Until the signal went out.
Sable Orin is a Terric archivist who reads the emotional content of records through her hands. Dessa Vael is an Igni garrison soldier whose fire mends rather than burns. Zaren Cole is an Aeros historian following a frequency he cannot name toward a document he cannot identify.
They are drawn to the center of the continent by a pull none of them has language for.
At the center is the Stillground. At the Stillground is Mama Vor, who has been waiting for two thousand years—for them.
The Nulls is the first book of The Ether Chronicles: an epic fantasy trilogy about erasure, inheritance, and the specific kind of courage it takes to be what you are in a world that has decided you are not.
